Platinum Transparency 2026
Candid / GuideStar
GIU has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid (formerly GuideStar) — the highest level of recognition a nonprofit can achieve. Out of over 1.8 million nonprofits in the United States, fewer than 1% have earned this distinction.
The Platinum Seal means GIU has voluntarily disclosed detailed information about our finances, leadership, impact results, and strategic goals — going far beyond what is legally required. Donors, foundations, and grant-makers rely on this seal to identify organizations with verified accountability and measurable impact.
When you give to GIU, you give to an organization that has been independently verified for the highest standard of transparency — your donation is trusted, tracked, and put to work.

A Note on Our 2024 Financials
In 2024, GIU directed 99.6% of expenses to programs — an intentional decision during a high-impact growth year. Our entire board serves as unpaid volunteers, which means $0 goes to executive salaries or administrative overhead. The $300 net asset balance reflects our commitment to deploying every dollar raised directly into the communities we serve, not accumulating reserves. As we scale, we are building sustainable operational capacity while maintaining our core promise: maximum impact per donor dollar.

How We Calculate “6,000+ Lives Impacted”
Our cumulative impact figure is the sum of direct, unduplicated beneficiaries across all programs from 2022 to present. Where a single individual benefits from multiple programs, they are counted once. Here is the breakdown:
Conservative estimate. The Oyoko generator (150,000+ annual patient visits) and community-wide effects of awareness campaigns are excluded from the headline figure. Methodology reviewed annually alongside 990-EZ filing.
Our Commitment to Transparency
Greatness In You (GIU), DBA GIU, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization (EIN: 92-2122500) incorporated in the State of Nevada in 2022. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Our IRS Form 990-EZ filings are publicly available above. As GIU grows, we are committed to engaging an independent auditor to provide audited financial statements — the gold standard in nonprofit accountability.
Every board member serves without compensation. GIU is self-funded by our founder and board members, who contribute from their personal income to cover operational costs so that donor funds go directly to programs.
