Sponsor a Ghanaian Student
From primary school to university — GIU funds Ghanaian students at every level of education. 60+ scholarships and counting.

Sponsor a Child’s Education at Every Level
In Ghana, 1 in 5 children drops out before junior high. The reason is rarely talent — it’s tuition, uniforms, supplies, and exam fees that families simply cannot afford. GIU funds Ghanaian students at every level of education: primary school, junior high school (JHS), senior high school (SHS), and university — wherever the next barrier appears.
To date, GIU has funded more than 60 students across Ghana, from primary school children at risk of dropping out to university scholars at Valley View University, Central University, UniMAC, and beyond. Every sponsorship covers tuition, examination fees, books, and academic materials — so merit, not money, decides who learns.

How the Scholarship Program Works
Identification
Partner universities and community leaders identify students with strong academic records and demonstrated financial need.
Selection
GIU reviews applications and selects recipients based on academic merit, financial need, and commitment to community service.
Support
Scholarship recipients receive tuition funding, academic materials, and mentorship from GIU's network of professionals and alumni.
Program Impact
GIU scholarship recipients have gone on to careers in business, healthcare, education, and technology. Many return to their communities as mentors, teachers, and entrepreneurs — creating a multiplier effect that extends the impact of every dollar donated far beyond a single student.
A university graduate in Ghana typically supports an extended family of 8 to 12 people. By investing in one student's education, donors are effectively lifting an entire family out of poverty and creating economic opportunity for an entire community.
