Opening Doors That Would Otherwise Stay Closed
In Ghana, talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not. Thousands of brilliant young people earn admission to university only to watch their dreams collapse because their families cannot afford tuition. GIU's scholarship program exists to ensure that no student with the ability and the will to learn is turned away for lack of funds.
To date, GIU has provided tuition assistance to more than 60 students at universities across Ghana, including Valley View University, Central University, the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC), and others. These scholarships cover tuition fees, examination costs, and essential academic materials.

Real Stories, Real Impact
Ebenezer Tetteh was weeks away from dropping out of Valley View University when GIU stepped in with a scholarship that covered his remaining tuition. Today, Ebenezer is a university graduate with a career in business administration. His story is not unique — it is one of more than 60 that GIU has made possible.
GIU's scholarship recipients are selected based on academic merit, financial need, and demonstrated commitment to their communities. Many recipients go on to mentor younger students, creating a cycle of empowerment that extends far beyond a single scholarship.

The Ripple Effect
When you fund a student's education, you don't just change one life. A university graduate in Ghana typically supports an extended family of 8 to 12 people. Education is the most powerful tool for breaking generational poverty, and every scholarship GIU provides creates a ripple of economic and social impact that extends for decades.
Fund a Student's Future
A $500 scholarship can keep a student in university for an entire semester. Your generosity creates graduates, leaders, and changemakers.
