GIU's Entrepreneurship program equips young Ghanaians with the seed capital, business training, and mentorship they need to launch and sustain their own ventures.
From mobile money businesses to small-scale agriculture, GIU-supported entrepreneurs are creating jobs, serving their communities, and proving that with the right support, young Africans can build thriving enterprises from the ground up.
How the Program Works
Training
Participants attend workshops covering business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer service fundamentals.
Seed Capital
Qualifying participants receive seed funding to launch their business ideas, with amounts determined by business plan viability and community impact.
Mentorship
Each entrepreneur is paired with a mentor from GIU's network of business professionals who provides ongoing guidance and accountability.
Creating Economic Opportunity
Every business launched through GIU's Entrepreneurship program creates not just one job, but several. A young woman who starts a mobile money kiosk employs an assistant and serves hundreds of community members who previously had to travel miles to access financial services. A young man who launches a small poultry farm feeds families and creates seasonal employment.
